The purpose of awards in Alpha Phi Omega is to recognize chapters and individuals who have done outstanding volunteer work for their community, campus, youth, or for the Fraternity and who have exemplified the cardinal principles of the Fraternity.
Nominators must be chapters in good standing within Sections (F1, F2, F3, F4) of Region F. They must apply via online form or email by the deadline.
All applications must be received at least 7 days before a Region F – Section (F1, F2, F3, F4) business meeting.
Section Distinguished Service Key
The Sectional Distinguished Service Key, the highest award which can be presented by a Section, recognizes individuals who have distinguished themselves in their outstanding contributions at a sectional level to their Section and exemplify the three Cardinal Principles of Alpha Phi Omega.
Self-nominations shall not be accepted.
Section – Chapter of the Year
The Chapter of the Year award is presented to the Chapter that has the best overall program in the three Cardinal Principles.
Section – Be a Leader Award
Awarded to an active brother in their Section who has exemplified the cardinal principle of Leadership.
Self-nominations shall not be accepted.
Section – Be a Friend Award
Awarded to an active brother in their Section who has exemplified the cardinal principle of Friendship.
Self-nominations shall not be accepted.
Section – Be of Service Award
Awarded to an active brother in their Section who has exemplified the cardinal principle of Service.
Self-nominations shall not be accepted.
Advisor of the Year
The Advisor of the Year award is presented to the outstanding Chapter Advisor who lends guidance and counsel to a Chapter.
Any chapter or individual brother can nominate a chapter or individual for an award.
Region awards may be given at any area conference or national convention.
