Why should you want to attend National Convention? Why SHOULDN’T you?! Not only is it the biggest display of LFS you’ve ever seen, it’s a massive networking event where you’ll meet members and alumni from all across the country and see what APO is like beyond your campus. There are multiple days of entertaining activities and performers, educational and interactive workshops for members of all ages, all wrapped up in the incredible city of Indianapolis and all it has to offer! There will also be important decisions being made at the Legislative Session, so this is your once-every-two-years opportunity to make sure your chapter’s voice is heard in steering our fraternity for years to come.
To help make that happen, we want EVERYONE to attend! Actives, chapter officers, advisors, alumni, pledges and new members – each chapter must register TWO voting delegates to handle official business, and bring as many more people as possible to join in the festivities. And of course there are discounts – Early Bird pricing is available until October 30, and there’s a rebate for chapters that bring multiple students! For every fourth student registered from a chapter, the group will receive a post-convention registration rebate of $40. For example, if XYZ Chapter registers 15 students from their chapter, they will receive a $120 rebate in January. So bring three (or more) friends and get a rebate!
The fun will commence with an Opening Celebration on Wednesday, December 27 at the sparkling Indianapolis Mariott Downtown – book your rooms here with our group rate before November 27. Then, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be chock full of learning and networking, Legislative Sessions, regional business meetings, and more fun and fellowship. The planning committee has been hard at work organizing a full slate of Learning Labs, national awards, fellowships, and more, including an Alumni Luncheon, a Voting Delegate Appreciation Dinner, an Inclusion Reception, and finally our Celebration Banquet as an amazing wrap-up party!
Are you ready to register? Looking for more info? Need fundraising ideas? Hoping there’s a planning guide or more resources? It’s all right here on the national website! There’s a LOT going on, and we can’t wait to see you in Indianapolis in December.
Keep an eye on social media for awesome reminders and announcements as we get closer to the big event!
